Job Description & Requirements :
Primary Responsibilities :
- Identify & develop new clients for Outsourced Product Development Services in Large & Small Independent Software Vendor (ISV) market using conventional as well as creative avenues & techniques.
- Generating multi million dollars sales leads & converting them into business in a highly competitive environment & in shorter sales cycles.
- Ensure that sales pipeline exceeds the budget & potential deals are closed as per projections.
- Preparing budgets & forecasts for onsite & offshore resources.
- Expand the relationships within the account to new executives - to all levels of the organization.
- Participating in developing & implementing new creative & effective sales & marketing strategies to penetrate Fortune 50/100/500 as well as start up companies.
Skills Required :
- Ability to identify & develop new clients using conventional as well as creative avenues is a CRITICAL & MUST have skill.
- Must be able to generate sales leads in Outsourced Product Development Services.
- Must be able to take on challenges like shrinking sales cycles, growing technology complexities, shorter release cycles and reduced time-to-market
- Must have a consultative sales approach having experience with IT Sales in software development (Product and/or Projects Development Services).
- Must be able to build and maintain relationships at the highest levels in a customer organization and navigate the complex political environment.
- Must be able to handle the Proposals to the prospective clients independently.
- Must be able to prepare accurate budgets & forecasts for onsite & offshore resources.
- Knowledge & understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) is required.
- Knowledge & understanding of IT Outsourcing Services is required.
- Knowledge & understanding of Software Offshore Development will be a big plus.
Qualifications & Certifications
- BS Computer Science/Engineering (Other graduates with proven exp will be considered)
- MBA/MS in MIS, Sales & Marketing, and International Business etc… will be preferred.
- Must have good understanding of new technologies like J2EE, Web Services & Microsoft .Net etc...
- Should have good understanding of full life cycle of IT product development.
Experience :
- Min 7-10 yrs as a Business Development Professional selling IT Outsourcing Services with proven track record required.
- Min 3-6 years relevant exp in US is desired.
- Exp with CMM Level 4/5 IT consulting companies with large offshore set up will be a big plus.
- Exp in selling offshore engagements will be a big plus.
Other Requirements :
- Must have excellent verbal, written & presentation skills.
- Must be willing to travel extensively.
- If short listed, you will need to submit minimum 2 professional references & proof of legal authorization to work in USA.
