The Soft As A Grape team is continuously working to screen print, embroider and package our products Better, Faster and as Efficient as possible. We are looking for an experienced Production Planner and Buyer for our manufacturing of Screen Print and Embroidery of our Soft As A Grape product lines.
About you:
Director Planner / Buyer for Soft As A Grape’s Screen Print Manufacturing Candidate should be process oriented and results-driven and should enjoy a challenging and fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated aptitude to learn new concepts and norms quickly.
Ability to work under frequently changing priorities and deadlines, while keeping a keen awareness of the impact on other areas of the organization.
Demonstrated high attention to detail - perfectionists are encouraged to apply!
Ability to work well with cross-functional teams as well as independently.
Key duties include:
Work closely with Management to understand the Product Lines, Budgets, Deadlines and Cost Control.
Planner must understand manufacturing capacity and allocate as required to meet build plan commitments.
Determines material requirements to build a Monthly Production Schedules which needs to be done in advance.
Coordinates buys and the transportation of the products as efficiently and cost effective way as possible.
Plans, schedules, and monitors the movement of material through the production cycle in a short lead-time, high mix manufacturing setting.
Analyzes the product needs on a daily, weekly basis to ensure we have product flow.
Makes daily/weekly buys to line up production schedule to ensure we are achieving our sales budgets.
Ensure product buys are within budgets and communicates and enters all Purchase Orders.
Oversee and Manage the Distribution Manager to ensure all products that are in our warehouse are picked in a timely manner to ensure our production schedule it filled.
Oversee and Manage the Packaging Manager to ensure all orders are being fulfilled, packaged and shipped on time.
Oversee and Manage the Shipping Department to ensure all orders are being shipped on time which means thru UPS/Fed Ex, Trucking, etc.
Works closely with Art Department, Customer Service, Production Management and Packaging to ensure we have a well-executed production schedule that will meet our customer’s deadlines.
Track shortages and damages and manage reports. Highlight to management critical part shortages that will jeopardize ship schedule.
Reviews Soft As A Grape Products to ensure we are always in stock and flow of orders is covering orders needed to achieve monthly sales.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years related work experience.
Understanding of Screen Printing/Embroidery a plus, but not required.
Experience with and MS Excel
