We are seeking a skilled Lead Carpenter / Deck Builder to join our team. You will work directly with our Project Manager to build custom decks, composite outdoor living spaces, stair systems, railings, and custom trim details.
Key Responsibilities
- Framing & Structural: Install footers, posts, beams, ledgers, flashing, and joists according to plans and specs.
- Decking Installation: Precision installation of composite and wood deck boards, picture framing, breaker boards, and custom inlays.
- Railings & Stairs: Install complex stair configurations, aluminum/composite/cable railing systems, and drink rails.
- Finish Work: Wrap fascia, install custom trim, fascia, and skirting details.
- Job Site Leadership: Keep job sites clean, safe, and well-organized.
- Quality Control: Ensure all work meets TrueCraft Decking standards, manufacturer guidelines, and project specifications.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 3+ years of hands-on carpentry experience (deck building and composite decking experience preferred).
- Tools: Knowledge of standard residential framing, finish carpentry techniques, and comfort operating power tools safely.
- Detail-Oriented: Ability to read drawings/plans and execute layout, picture framing, and clean finish cuts accurately.
- Reliability: Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and dependable attendance.
- Work Ethic: High standards for workmanship, property protection, and site cleanliness.
- Communication: Professional, respectful attitude when interacting with homeowners, crew members, and project managers.

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
