Position Description: Office and Hospitality Manager
Time Commitment: 20 hours/week
Reports To: Campus Pastor
The Lutheran-Episcopal Campus Ministry at Oregon State is a growing ecumenical campus ministry that accompanies students in their journeys of faith.

● Implement office procedures and possess basic accounting skills
● Handle multi-task operations effectively and meet deadlines
● Demonstrate computer competency (Luther House uses Macintosh, Microsoft Suite, G Suite)
● Express intellectual curiosity in alignment with the core values of Luther House
● Knowledge of basic bookkeeping (with exception of payroll functions)
Additional Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
● Experience using QuickBooks or other accounting software
● Experience using Bloomerang or other donor software
● Familiarity and usage of various social media applications
Overall Responsibilities:
Donor Stewardship (avg. 20% of time):
● Care for and update financial records, manage third party payment systems (Vanco, etc.), pay bills, manage personal information and maintain databases (CRM), learn computer programs, issue donor receipts and write thank you letters
House care (avg. 15% of time):
● Maintain and order supplies for office and house
● Schedule and coordinate routine service providers (e.g., lawn care, house cleaners, recycling, garbage, etc.) and other outside groups that use Luther House
● Liaison with tenants; update rental contracts as needed
Communication (avg. 15% of time):
● As needed, communicate with staff, students, volunteers and contributors using social networking, email, etc., including assemble and distribute quarterly Luminary Story newsletter
● Maintain website; ensure social media applications are maintained and up-to-date
● Coordinate and assist in printing, publishing, and distributing Luther House materials
Bookkeeping/Accounting (avg. 35% of time):
● Receive and ensure payment of all bills
● Record receipt of income in accounting system
● Record payroll in accounting system
● Reconcile accounting and donor databases
● Reconcile all bank, credit card and investment accounts
● Prepare monthly financial reports for Pastor and Executive Council
● Issue 1099s
● Enter approved budget into accounting system
Program (avg. 10% of time)
● As needed, organize and supervise special programs and activities (typically non-business hours)
● As needed, coordinate and/or prepare and participate in Luther House meals, including clean up and laundry
Other (avg. 5% of time)
● Train, supervise, and support volunteers
Salary: $25 hr
Pay: Up to $25.00 per hour
