Final Stage Sign Assembler – Aluminum LED Signs
Position Summary
We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Final Stage Sign Assembler to join our sign manufacturing team. This position is responsible for taking completed aluminum sign components through the final assembly stage and preparing finished LED signs for quality control, packaging, and installation.
The ideal candidate takes pride in their workmanship, can follow production drawings and instructions, and understands the importance of accuracy, appearance, and quality in finished signage.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assemble aluminum LED signs and sign components during the final stage of production.
- Install LED modules, wiring, power supplies, connectors, and related electrical components as directed.
- Assemble aluminum returns, faces, backs, raceways, and other sign components.
- Route and organize wiring neatly and securely inside finished signs.
- Connect electrical components according to wiring diagrams and production specifications.
- Apply silicone, sealants, gaskets, and other materials as required to protect components from moisture.
- Install and secure sign faces, trim, covers, and other finished components.
- Drill, fasten, rivet, screw, and otherwise assemble components using hand and power tools.
- Verify that all components are properly installed, aligned, and securely fastened.
- Perform basic testing of LED lighting and electrical connections before the sign leaves the production area.
- Inspect completed signs for workmanship, appearance, damage, missing components, and assembly issues.
- Identify and communicate problems or defects to the appropriate supervisor or production team member.
- Make minor adjustments or corrections when necessary.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Properly handle aluminum, acrylic, polycarbonate, LED components, and other sign materials to prevent damage.
- Follow all company safety procedures and proper tool/equipment operating procedures.
- Meet established production schedules and quality standards.
- Assist other departments or production personnel when needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in sign manufacturing, electrical assembly, fabrication, construction, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Basic understanding of electrical connections and wiring is preferred.
- Ability to read and follow basic drawings, diagrams, measurements, and written instructions.
- Comfortable using hand tools and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in finished workmanship.
- Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a production team.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to identify assembly issues.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Ability to learn new tools, equipment, processes, and production techniques.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and work for extended periods.
- Ability to frequently bend, stoop, reach, kneel, and move around the production area.
- Ability to lift and move sign components and materials safely.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools repeatedly throughout the workday.
- Ability to work with small electrical components and perform detailed assembly work.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.
Work Environment
This position works primarily in a sign manufacturing/production environment and may involve:
- Aluminum fabrication and assembly.
- LED and low-voltage electrical components.
- Hand and power tools.
- Noise from manufacturing equipment.
- Dust, metal shavings, adhesives, sealants, and other production materials.
- Occasional lifting and handling of large or awkward sign components.
Proper safety equipment and procedures must be followed at all times.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
