Duties
- Supervise children in a variety of settings including classrooms, play areas, and activity zones to ensure safety and well-being at all times
- Plan and facilitate engaging activities such as arts and crafts, sports, theater, and educational games that promote childhood development and creativity
- Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management techniques to maintain a respectful environment
- Provide homework assistance, tutoring, or academic support tailored to individual student needs in subjects like reading, math, or science
- Implement safety protocols including first aid procedures and emergency response plans to handle minor injuries or incidents promptly
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and staff to communicate children’s progress and address any behavioral or developmental concerns
- Support children with special education needs by adapting activities and providing personalized attention to foster inclusion and growth
Skills
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to maintain order while encouraging positive interactions
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Experience working with children in daycare, camp settings, or tutoring environments
- Ability to provide first aid and handle emergency situations confidently
- Excellent communication skills for working effectively with children, parents, and team members
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies and child psychology concepts
- Passion for working with kids and fostering their social-emotional growth through creative activities such as theater or sports coaching
