NYC Department of Finance (DOF) is responsible for administering the tax revenue laws of the city fairly, efficiently, and transparently to instill public confidence and encourage compliance while providing exceptional customer service.
DOF's Administration and Planning Division is responsible for managing and overseeing administrative and operational services for the agency. This includes the daily management of the Offices of Financial Management, Purchasing and Contracts, Operational Services, and Diversity and Inclusion.
The Office of Operational Services coordinates and directs all facilities-related operational support services for both public and privately leased properties agency-wide, including space planning, telecommunications, security, fire safety, health and safety, and fleet and transportation operations. The division also includes the agency warehouse, print shop, and mailroom operations.
The Warehouse and Customer Delivery Services unit manage the agency's centralized warehouse operations, print shop, inventory control and distribution of equipment and supplies across multiple locations. The unit is seeking an experienced and highly organized professional to serve as the Deputy Director of Warehouse and Customer Delivery Service. Reporting to the Director of Warehouse & Customer Delivery Services, the selected candidate's duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Manage the Warehouse Supervisor and oversee daily warehouse operations, including establishing product handling and storage requirements, evaluating policies and procedures, and improving processes related to receiving products, equipment utilization, inventory control, and shipping activities.
- Responsible for the overall design and optimization of warehouse operations, including planning facility layout, product flow, and product handling systems, as well as evaluating and recommending new warehouse equipment.
- Leads materials management and inventory control processes, including oversight of supply replenishment and support for annual inventory audits.
- Manages the agency-wide water distribution contract and oversees the delivery schedule.
- Coordinates with DOF contractors and business units to ensure monthly deliveries are completed on schedule.
- Oversee daily operations of the DOF Print Shop which includes creation and maintenance of the agency digital printing schedule and completion of agency jobs in a timely manner.
- Oversee staff managing the distribution of all 311 literature requests.
- Assisting the Director with tracking, filing and the retrieval of agency records requests from divisions.
- Assists the Director in overseeing the distribution of Parking, Moving, and Criminal Court Summonses to all authorized agencies.
- May assume the responsibilities of the Director during their absence.

This position may be eligible for remote work up to 2 days per week, pursuant to the Remote Work Pilot Program agreed between the City and the Collective Bargaining Unit representing employees serving in the civil service title.
ADMINISTRATIVE STOREKEEPER - 10038
1. Six years of full-time progressively responsible experience in warehousing operations at least 18 months of which must have been in a managerial or administrative capacity requiring independent decision-making concerning management or planning, allocation of resources and the scheduling and assignment of work; or
2. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" above. Education may be substituted for the general administrative experience (but not for the 18 months of managerial experience described above) at the rate of 1 year of college for 6 months of experience up to a maximum of 4 years of college for 2 years of experience.
- 5+ years of supervisory experience. - 5+ years of knowledge of proper inventory management, warehousing, and warehouse safety practices. - Great leadership, decision making, and problem-solving skills. - Very organized and detail oriented. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
