NOTE: This is an IN-PERSON Position : Monday - Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
We are looking for an articulate, hard-working, independent individual with a strong attention to detail to join our team. World Wide Trekking is an international adventure travel company that specializes in global trekking experience’s. We have a strong commitment to give back to local communities worldwide with our sister non-profit company the Human Outreach Project in the areas that we travel. This position assists in every aspect of the business. You must be a self-starter who can prioritize your work week. Must possess excellent grammar, spelling, written and verbal communication skills. You must be able to multitask in a highly dynamic and busy work environment, while working as a valued team member. Must be proficient in MS Office with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Goodle Drive, MAC/Apple, and Acrobat Pro. Ideal candidate will be an organized, creative, open-minded individual, with immaculate attention to detail. Travel related experience is a strong positive for our hiring process.
Responsibilities:
· We are looking for a dedicated, organized, and passionate team player
· Trip planning and customization in: Tanzania, Nepal, Peru, Iceland, European Alps, Chile, and more
· Assisting with day-to-day operations of the office
· Organizing and maintaining files and records
· Making travel and guest arrangements
· Providing quality guest follow-ups, selling trip spaces, and customer service
· Writing up trip briefs, trip details and pricing
· Interacting with the office team as a professional with good communication and can-do attitude
· Advise, research, book, sell and manage travel arrangements efficiently and effectively
· Create, maintain, and update traveler profiles
· Network with industry professionals and remain current with travel industry operations
· Assist with newsletter marketing, social media, and website updates, and more
· Assist the Owner and the Director of Operations and with anything else that may arise
Qualifications:
· Some college required; Bachelor’s preferred
· Strong organizational skills and attention to details
· Minimum 5 years office operations skills
· Travel industry professional with relevant work experience
· Must the ability to use critical thinking skills
· Good analytical skills
· Research and building itineraries for different trips
· Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
· Strong customer service skills, good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with culturally diverse individuals
· Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook), Google Drive, and the ability to work with software database, create and retrieve reports
· Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, continually changing work environment and manage multiple priorities efficiently
· Ability to complete work within prescribed time constraints and meet deadlines
· Self-motivated with sound reasoning and judgement
