Job Summary

Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experiences and increase sales, utilizing knowledge of the menu and specials.
- Manage guest inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure excellent customer service throughout their dining experience.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and processing payments via POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms.
- Maintain sanitation standards by adhering to food safety regulations, proper food handling procedures, and sanitation protocols.
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff as needed in a fast-paced environment such as fine dining or nightlife venues.
- Support guest relations by creating memorable experiences through attentive service and personalized recommendations.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant experience or food service background is preferred; experience in fine dining or nightlife settings is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms; experience with OpenTable is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to upsell menu items confidently and effectively.
- Demonstrated time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cashiering and cash handling tasks.
- Experience in serving or host/hostess roles within the food industry is desirable; hospitality background is highly valued.
- Capable of standing for extended periods while maintaining a positive attitude; physical stamina for night shifts or nightclub environments is important.
