About The Brain Injury Center
The Brain Injury Center is a multidisciplinary medical practice focused on the evaluation and treatment of patients suffering from the effects of motor vehicle accidents, workplace injuries, and other traumatic events. Our patients commonly present with PTSD, anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, post-concussive symptoms, chronic pain, and other trauma-related conditions.
We work closely with physicians and advanced practice providers to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care focused on recovery and improved quality of life.
Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong diagnostic and counseling skills, experience working with trauma-related conditions, and the ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary medical environment.
This position involves conducting mental health evaluations, establishing diagnoses, providing counseling services, and assisting in identifying patients who may benefit from additional treatment modalities, including Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS).
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and behavioral health evaluations
- Diagnose and treat conditions including:
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
- Anxiety disorders
- Depression
- Adjustment disorders
- Trauma-related conditions
- Develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide individual counseling and psychotherapy
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff regarding patient care and treatment recommendations
- Identify appropriate candidates for TMS and other therapeutic interventions
- Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation
- Communicate professionally with attorneys, case managers, and healthcare providers when needed
- Participate in occasional medico-legal matters, including rare deposition testimony related to patient care
Qualifications Required
- Active Texas LPC license in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience preferred
- Strong diagnostic and assessment skills
- Experience providing individual psychotherapy
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Comfortable working in a collaborative medical setting
- Spanish speaking
Preferred
- Trauma-focused training or experience
- Experience treating PTSD and accident-related psychological injuries
- Familiarity with personal injury or motor vehicle accident populations
- Experience working with multidisciplinary healthcare teams

Additional Information
While deposition testimony is uncommon, candidates should be comfortable with the possibility of providing testimony regarding their clinical care when necessary. Any deposition work performed outside of regular clinical duties will be compensated separately, with the clinician retaining the full deposition fee.

Pay: $84,387.63 - $101,628.11 per year
