Position: Bartender, Geordie's at the Wrigley Mansion
The ideal candidate will have a passion and commitment for Guest experience. As a Bartender, you will play a crucial role in creating memorable experiences for our Guests by crafting high-quality beverages and ensuring their satisfaction.
Shift availability: Full-time: Wed - Saturday dinner
Sunday dinner availability to resume after summer.
*Openness to working Events as needed is a bonus!
What You Bring to the Table:
- Must have extensive knowledge of bar preparation, bar techniques, ingredients and proper food service standards and etiquette.
- Advanced communication skills to adequately listen to and speak to Guests and fellow employees in a professional and respectful manner.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Manage cash handling accurately, including processing transactions using the Toast POS system.
- Interact with Guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing recommendations and answering questions about the menu.
- Ensure compliance with sanitation, health & safety guidelines and regulations, and all Arizona State Liquor Laws in the handling and preparation of all alcoholic beverages.
- Completes opening and closing checklists daily:
- Cuts, slices and peels perishable garnishes and fruits, mixes and pours juices in sufficient amounts according to projected business.
- Stores back-up supplies needing refrigeration in prescribed containers for later use.
- Labels and dates perishable items.
- Scoops ice from ice bins, transports to service areas and replenishes ice containers for usage.
- Maintains adequate amounts of supplies, i.e., straws, stir sticks. napkins, matches, etc., for both the immediate bar and extended service area.
- Transports kegs, replaces and performs routine maintenance requirements on heavy beer kegs.
- Washes and polishes glasses to keep up with business levels. Transports glasses in a safe manner to the dish area and returns clean glasses/equipment to the bar. Wipes tables and organizes tables and chairs according to floorplan. Runs food when needed.
- Maintains cleanliness of bar area, beer lockers, refrigeration and storage areas to comply with health code standards. Removes boxes and trash in a timely and discreet manner.
- Monitor inventory levels of liquor, beer, wine, and other supplies; assist with ordering as needed.
- Stay updated on drink trends, brewing techniques, and new menu items to enhance guest experience.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
