ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
· Conducts a history of the patient’s condition based on interview and performs relevant aspects of a physical assessment, including vital signs, pain scale, height, weight, etc. and documents in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
· Assists the physician in performing procedures by preparing the required instruments and equipment, assisting during surgical procedures and acting as an attendant during examinations. Maintains cleanliness and general appearance of exam rooms and ensures that required supplies are in examining rooms when needed by physician. Helps maintain clinical equipment. Maintains clinical equipment.
· Set up treatment rooms as needed for visits; ensure rooms, supply closets and lab areas are clean, stocked and organized; maintain the lab and triage patient phone calls and visit needs.
· Perform preliminary physical tests; take blood pressure, weight and temperature; report patient history summary.
