We are seeking a dependable, motivated individual with experience working on diesel engines. Applicants must live in Montgomery county, have their own tools, and have hands-on experience diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing diesel engines. We're looking for someone who can take pride in their work, is reliable, and can working independently.

Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes, and air brake systems.
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and fluid checks to keep equipment in optimal condition.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues across various heavy equipment types including excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, and industrial equipment.
- Fabricate parts or modify existing components using power tools and welding techniques to meet specific repair needs or customizations.
- Operate heavy machinery safely during repairs or testing procedures while adhering to safety protocols and industry standards.
- Maintain detailed service records, repair logs, and inventory of parts used during repairs to ensure accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with team members to execute repairs efficiently while providing excellent customer service by communicating clearly about repair status and timelines.
Skills
- Proven experience working as a diesel mechanic with dealership experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, HVAC systems, shocks & struts, and suspension components.
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics using schematics and electronic testing tools.
- Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding and soldering for custom repairs or modifications.
- Ability to operate cranes and forklifts
- Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, tire service equipment, and alignment machines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large parts or equipment.

Pay: $28.50 - $30.83 per hour
