Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Barback to join our vibrant team. The Barback plays a crucial role in supporting bartenders by ensuring the bar is well-stocked and organized, contributing to an exceptional guest experience. This position is ideal for individuals looking to grow in the hospitality industry, particularly in bars and restaurants.
Duties
- Assist bartenders in preparing and serving drinks efficiently.
- Stock and replenish bar supplies, including liquor, mixers, garnishes, and glassware.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.
- Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of low supplies.
- Support the bartending team during busy shifts by working service well mixing drinks.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the bar area.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations.
Skills
- Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, or banquet setting is required.
- Basic knowledge of bartending practices and drink preparation is required.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with cash handling and familiarity with Aloha POS systems is a plus.
- A willingness to help others and contribute positively to the team dynamic.
- Basic food preparation skills may be beneficial for assisting with bar snacks or appetizers.
