Position Overview
We are seeking an Associate Attorney to join our growing local government practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney to work directly with municipal clients, gain experience, and grow within a firm that values mentorship and long-term career development.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active member in good standing with The Florida Bar
- Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines independently
- Excellent judgment, professionalism, and client communication skills
- Location in the Tampa Bay area
- Experience with public records, open meetings, or administrative law is also strongly preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
- Advise local government clients on a broad range of municipal and regulatory matters
- Draft ordinances, resolutions, contracts, and legal opinions
- Represent clients in administrative proceedings, hearings, and assist with litigation as needed
- Attend commission, council, or board meetings as assigned
- Collaborate with partners and other associates on complex municipal matters
