Position Overview
Gent Heating & Cooling is seeking an experienced Residential New Construction (RNC) HVAC Foreman/Supervisor to lead our new construction installation division. This is a leadership role for an individual who takes pride in producing high-quality work, holding crews accountable, and ensuring projects are completed on time and to company standards.
The ideal candidate will have extensive residential new construction HVAC experience (10+ Years) , strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and the confidence to manage crews effectively while maintaining positive relationships with builders and project superintendents.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead residential new construction HVAC installation crews.
- Lay out jobs and coordinate installation plans before work begins.
- Ensure all installations meet company standards, code requirements, and builder expectations.
- Conduct jobsite inspections and identify quality concerns before they become issues.
- Hold installers accountable for workmanship, attendance, productivity, and job performance.
- Train, mentor, and develop installers to improve skills and efficiency.
- Address performance issues promptly and professionally.
- Coordinate with office staff regarding scheduling, materials, inspections, and project updates.
- Communicate effectively with builders, project managers, and jobsite superintendents.
- Return crews to jobs when corrections are needed and ensure deficiencies are resolved properly.
- Manage project timelines to maintain production goals.
- Assist in planning manpower needs and workflow during peak construction periods.
- Utilize ServiceTitan and other technology platforms for job management, documentation, and communication.
- Lead by example through professionalism, organization, and attention to detail.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of Residential New Construction HVAC experience preferred.
- Previous foreman, lead installer, or supervisory experience required.
- Strong understanding of residential HVAC installation practices and applicable codes.
- Proven ability to manage and motivate crews.
- Excellent leadership and conflict-resolution skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to communicate effectively with office personnel, builders, superintendents, and team members.
- Comfortable holding employees accountable and enforcing company standards.
- Ability to work extended hours during busy construction seasons when necessary.
- Experience using field service management software preferred (ServiceTitan experience is a plus).
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
