Description:
The Shift Leader plays a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by leading daily shift operations and supporting the management team. This position helps ensure food quality, cleanliness, operational standards, and outstanding customer service while coaching crew members and leading by example throughout every shift.
This position qualifies for tips, performance-based quarterly store bonuses, and discretionary achievement and merit bonuses.
This is a hands-on leadership role. Shift Leaders are expected to work alongside their teams, actively participate in food production and guest service, and help maintain a fast, clean, and efficient operation. During assigned shifts, Shift Leaders support daily execution, assist with cash handling and reporting, and help ensure company standards are consistently met.
Shift Leaders should expect an average workweek of approximately 25–30 hours based on business needs.

Maintain food quality, cleanliness, safety, and brand standards

Support food production and guest service during busy periods

Ensure products are prepared accurately and efficiently

Resolve guest concerns professionally and escalate issues when appropriate

Assist with opening, closing, and daily operational checklists

Lead by example through professionalism, urgency, and positive attitude

Coach and support crew members throughout each shift

Help train new team members on operational procedures and guest service standards

Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment

Communicate effectively with management regarding operational needs and team performance

Assist with cash handling, cash audits, and deposits

Support inventory counts, stocking, and product rotation

Help ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and company policies

Previous food service or customer service experience preferred

Leadership or supervisory experience preferred but not required

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment

Dependable, organized, and able to make sound decisions during a shift

Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require

Ability to stand for extended periods and regularly lift up to 50 pounds

Food Handler or Food Manager Certification preferred
