As our coastal presence continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Senior Interior Designer to join our Cape May Court House studio and help lead projects throughout the Jersey Shore region.
The Opportunity:
This is a leadership role for a designer who is equally passionate about design excellence, client relationships, and project execution.
You will lead residential projects from concept through installation, serving as the primary designer and trusted advisor for your clients while collaborating closely with our internal team, contractors, architects, and trade partners.
The ideal candidate is confident, highly organized, creatively driven, and experienced in managing multiple luxury residential projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities
- Lead custom home, renovation, and furnishings projects from concept through completion
- Develop design concepts, floor plans, material palettes, and presentation materials
- Present designs and selections to clients with confidence and professionalism
- Create detailed specifications and design documentation
- Coordinate with architects, builders, and trades throughout the project lifecycle
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and client communication
- Oversee procurement, installation, and project completion
- Mentor and collaborate with junior design team members
- Uphold the elevated design standards and client experience that define the NBD brand
Qualifications
- Interior Design degree or equivalent professional training
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a professional interior design firm
- Experience leading residential projects independently from concept through installation
- Strong proficiency in design software and presentation development
- Exceptional organization and project management skills
- Outstanding communication and client relationship abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Deep understanding of construction, renovations, furnishings, and finish selections
- Reside within reasonable commuting distance of Cape May Court House, NJ
