Under the direction of the Fire Chief, perform varied and responsible administrative support duties to relieve the administrator of administrative and clerical details; plan, coordinate and organize office activities and coordinate flow of communications for the assigned supervisor.

High School or GED required.

Previous administrative assistant experience preferred.

Basic operation of a workstation (turning on/off, knowledge of basic functions and components) and general officer equipment. Use/storage/maintenance of multiple of usernames and passwords. Computer-related problem-solving skills through the us of available training and help desk.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc) internet software and practice with appropriate storage of electronic files.

A record of satisfactory performance in all prior and current employment as evidenced by positive employment references from previous employers.

Communicate effectively both orally and in writing; telephone techniques and etiquette correct English usage grammar, spelling ,punctuation and vocabulary.
