Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring quick processing of sales transactions
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, including cocktails, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately while processing payments through POS systems, including OpenTable reservations when applicable
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in dining areas, including bussing tables and assisting with food handling procedures
- Support guest relations by addressing inquiries promptly, managing special requests, and ensuring overall satisfaction
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or hospitality settings
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for efficient order processing
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking seamlessly
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and calculating bills
- Culinary experience or food industry background preferred to better understand menu offerings and food safety standards
- Familiarity with OpenTable reservation system is a plus
- Experience with food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Strong communication skills with a focus on guest relations and teamwork
