Lee Health is seeking a compassionate and experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Advanced to join our Peri-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team at Gulf Coast Medical Center. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to individuals recovering from anesthesia, working closely with nurses and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure a safe and efficient patient experience.

Provide direct patient care in accordance with established standards and protocols

Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and mobility

Monitor and report patient conditions, vital signs, and changes to nursing staff

Support patient flow in a fast-paced peri-anesthesia environment

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment

Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while ensuring comfort and safety

Current Florida Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license

BLS certification (American Heart Association)

Previous acute care or hospital experience preferred

Summary
Provides patient care duties under the guidance and direction of the nurse. Responsible for implementing components of the plan of care through the initiation/completion of procedures relating to basic human, mental health, social needs, comfort, safety and emergency measures; activities of daily living; personal care needs; nutrition and fluid and elimination needs. May have access to and transport non-controlled medications as directed.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; completion of a State Approved, CNA Education Program required (with at least 120 hours of academic studies and clinical training; 165 hours preferred in Acute Care).
Experience: Previous CNA work experience preferred; or new graduate CNA with clinical training.
Certification: Proof of American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; current for a minimum of 90 days after hire date.
License: Current Florida CNA Certification; or a CNA certification active in another state which is transferrable to obtain Florida certification under reciprocity.
Other: Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required. Knowledge of medical terminology.
