Position Overview: The This position will be 3pm-11pm after training period and will move into adding alternating nights and weekends as time goes on.
As a Tow Truck Dispatcher, you will be the central hub for managing and coordinating towing operations. You will be responsible for receiving calls, dispatching drivers, and ensuring that services are performed efficiently and professionally. You’ll play a key role in providing excellent customer service while ensuring the smooth and timely operation of our towing fleet.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and manage incoming calls for towing services, including breakdowns, accidents, and other emergency situations.
- Dispatch tow trucks to appropriate locations based on the nature of the service and priority.
- Communicate with tow truck operators to provide necessary information and assist with any changes to the route.
- Maintain accurate records of calls, service requests, and dispatches in the company’s system.
- Monitor the status of ongoing towing jobs and provide updates to customers and operators as needed.
- Assist customers with questions or concerns regarding their towing requests and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Ensure that all dispatch operations are conducted in compliance with safety regulations and company procedures.
- Coordinate with management and other team members to resolve any issues that arise during the towing process.
- Handle emergency calls and manage service priorities effectively.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of local roads and routes is a plus!
- Previous experience as a dispatcher, preferably in the towing or transportation industry, is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly and effectively relay information.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills and experience with dispatching software or systems.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Ability to problem-solve quickly and efficiently.
- Flexible to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
