Fuzzle is a clinical-stage medical device company developing an innovative, drug-free solution for obesity and weight management. As we continue advancing through clinical research, regulatory milestones, and commercialization, we’re seeking an experienced physician to join our leadership team as our Founding Fractional Chief Medical Officer.
As we progress through our clinical trial and prepare for commercialization, we’re expanding our leadership team to further strengthen Fuzzle’s medical credibility and presence within the healthcare marketplace. We believe experienced physician leadership is an important part of building trust with healthcare providers, payers, strategic partners, and the broader medical community.
This is not a traditional executive position. Rather, we’re looking for a respected physician who believes in our mission and wants to help guide an innovative medical device company through its next stage of growth.
This is an ideal opportunity for a physician who enjoys supporting innovative companies without the demands of a traditional executive role.
About the Role
The expected time commitment is intentionally light—typically no more than a few hours per month—and the position is primarily behind the scenes. You’ll serve as a strategic advisor to the executive team, providing occasional medical insight while helping strengthen the company’s clinical credibility as we continue to grow.
Responsibilities may include:
- Providing high-level medical and strategic guidance.
- Reviewing publications, presentations, investor materials, and other external communications for medical accuracy when requested.
- Offering perspective on obesity medicine, diabetes, managed care, reimbursement, and evolving standards of care.
- Serving as a member of the executive leadership team and lending your expertise to support the company’s long-term strategy.
- Participating in occasional meetings with investors, partners, or other stakeholders when your medical perspective would add value.
This is intended to be a flexible consulting relationship rather than an operational management position.
Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will be a physician who:
- Holds an active MD or DO license in good standing.
- Has experience in obesity medicine, endocrinology, diabetes care, medical devices, managed care, Medicare, value-based care, or related fields.
- Is passionate about improving patient outcomes through innovation.
- Wants to help shape an emerging healthcare company.
- Is excited to contribute strategically while maintaining a minimal monthly time commitment.
Active membership in professional organizations, medical societies, or industry associations is highly desirable. Existing relationships within healthcare systems, payer organizations, medical device companies, professional societies, or key opinion leader networks are considered a significant advantage.
While business development is not an expectation of the role, additional compensation opportunities may be available for introductions, partnerships, or strategic relationships that create meaningful value for the company.
Compensation
- Competitive hourly consulting compensation.
- Fractional equity ownership with meaningful long-term upside.
- Additional incentive compensation for strategic introductions or opportunities that benefit the company.
- Fully remote with an expected commitment of only a few hours per month.
