Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as Restaurant Support Staff, specifically as a Busser/Runner. As a vital member of our restaurant staff, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional dining experiences to our guests. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with table maintenance, delivering food and beverages, and ensuring a clean and organized dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, be detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic restaurant setting.
Responsibilities:
- Assist servers in setting up and clearing tables, ensuring that each table is clean and properly set with necessary utensils, glassware, and condiments.
- Greet guests warmly, escort them to their tables, and provide any necessary assistance.
- Deliver food and beverages to tables accurately and promptly, following established service standards.
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff and servers to ensure efficient and timely delivery of food and beverages to guests.
- Monitor tables throughout the dining experience, promptly removing used plates, glasses, and cutlery to maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and special dietary considerations, to answer guest inquiries.
- Assist in restocking supplies, such as napkins, straws, and condiments, as needed.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the dining area, including floors, windows, and furniture.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines and sanitation standards, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to provide a seamless dining experience and contribute to a positive and cohesive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work well within a team and take direction from supervisors.
- Physical stamina and the ability to stand, walk, and lift objects up to 30 pounds.
