Zing Recruiting is seeking an Industrial Engineer to join a growing manufacturing team in Dalton, GA! This is a direct-hire opportunity with an established manufacturing company. The Industrial Engineer will play a key role in improving manufacturing processes, increasing productivity, reducing costs, optimizing labor utilization, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Industrial Engineer Job Summary:

- Develop and improve manufacturing processes, workflows, and production methods
- Conduct time studies, labor studies, and labor utilization analysis
- Develop labor standards and support staffing and production planning
- Identify bottlenecks and implement improvements to increase throughput
- Design and optimize plant layouts, workstations, equipment placement, and material flow
- Support equipment installations, line balancing, capacity planning, and facility expansion
- Lead Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement projects
- Identify opportunities to reduce labor, material, and equipment costs
- Analyze manufacturing data, KPIs, and operational metrics to improve productivity and efficiency
- Support root cause analysis, corrective actions, quality improvements, and process reliability
- Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Logistics, and Engineering teams
- Support new product launches, engineering changes, and manufacturing projects
Industrial Engineer Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline with 1+ years of experience; OR
- Associate degree with 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience; OR
- Master's degree in Engineering or related discipline with 3+ years of experience; OR
- 5+ years of relevant Industrial Engineering experience in lieu of a degree
- Previous Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, or Continuous Improvement experience
- Experience with manufacturing process optimization and production support
- Experience conducting time studies and labor analysis
- Experience with capacity planning, labor balancing, and productivity improvement
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience with facility or plant layout and material flow optimization
- Proficiency with CAD software and layout development
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Automotive manufacturing experience is preferred
- Tier I automotive supplier experience is highly preferred
- Experience with Kaizen, Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping, or root cause analysis is preferred
- Experience with AutoCAD, Minitab, ERP systems, advanced Excel, or data analysis is preferred
- Experience supporting high-volume or highly automated manufacturing environments is preferred
