Duties
- Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories and updating electronic health records (EHR systems)
- Create and maintain patient medical charts through EHR
- Schedule patient appointments, including but not limited to consultations, follow-up, and cardiovascular testing
- Answer patient phone calls and respond promptly to patient messages
- Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates to support accurate diagnoses
- Prepare patients for examinations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas
- Assist the physician with administrative functions
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience as a medical assistant, preferably in a cardiology or internal medicine setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Proficient in taking vital signs, including blood pressure and heart rate, as well as completing EKG's
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR/EMR systems)
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
