Job Summary**
The CDL Truck Driver (Night Shift) will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of materials and equipment to and from various job sites for Primoris Energy Services. This role requires adherence to all DOT regulations and company safety standards while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Job Responsibilities**
- Operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all federal, state, and local Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Transport materials, equipment, and personnel to and from job sites in a timely and efficient manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment, documenting any defects or issues.
- Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate daily logbooks, mileage records, and other required documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and other team members regarding schedules, routes, and potential issues.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment as needed.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
- Report any accidents, incidents, or traffic violations immediately.
Job Qualifications**
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of [Insert X, e.g., 2] years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Experience with heavy haul and/or specialized equipment transportation preferred.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations, including hours of service (HOS).
- Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and identify vehicle maintenance needs.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong commitment to safety.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and extended shifts, as required.
- Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Hazmat endorsement may be required based on specific job assignments.
