Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of residential spaces, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, living areas, and outdoor spaces as needed
- Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures to ensure health standards are met or exceeded
- Clean surfaces, floors, carpets, and upholstery using appropriate cleaning equipment and detergents
- Handle laundry tasks such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing clothing and linens
- Maintain the cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and floor care techniques
- Use manual handling skills to lift heavy furniture or appliances safely during deep cleaning or rearrangement tasks
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand specific cleaning needs and preferences
- Manage time efficiently to complete assigned tasks within scheduled periods
- Follow safety protocols related to janitorial and custodial work to prevent accidents or injuries
- Assist with outdoor work including patio cleaning or yard tidying as required
Skills
- Proven experience in residential cleaning or housekeeping management with janitorial or custodial background preferred
- Strong knowledge of cleaning surfaces, equipment operation, and sanitation standards
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks with precision
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Skilled in using various cleaning detergents and understanding their appropriate applications
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including polishing, buffing, and maintenance of different flooring types
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a busy environment
- Outdoor work experience is a plus for handling exterior cleaning tasks confidently
- Good communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
