Job description:
Stein Seal Company is a growing manufacturing company that services the commercial and government aerospace industries, as well as the nuclear and power generation industries. We are seeking a dynamic Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our facility’s mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure smooth operations. Your expertise will help to maintain a safe, efficient, and productive environment, supporting our commitment to quality manufacturing and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and coordinate a service schedule and supply of materials required to maintain machines and equipment
- Working knowledge of AC/DC voltages up to 480V 3 phase AC electric
- Installation of machine shop equipment
- Communicating with supervisors and the next shift on the progress of any maintenance work being performed on machines.
- Maintains safe operating procedures by adhering to safety policies and regulations
- Order parts, tools and equipment as needed
- Maintain and track maintenance records of the machines
- Machine rigging, lifting and moving large pieces of equipment
- Other duties as assigned by supervision/management
Education and Experience:
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Bonus: Technical School Certificate
Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of CNC maintenance experience
- CNC lathes, mills and grinders with specific knowledge of Doosan, Okuma, HAAS, Kellenberger and other machinery a plus
- Machine PLC Logic and Control Systems
- Heavy troubleshooting of turret, ball screw, spindle, draw bar, tool changer and hydraulics issues
- Read and use of precision measuring instruments and tools used during PM’s or calibration after repairs
Skills:
- Ability to interpret prints
- Ability to read drawings and schematics of electrical, mechanical, pneumatics and hydraulics
- Mechanically inclined
- Ability to troubleshoot
