Position Overview
Based in Scottsdale, AZ, this role is an opportunity to perform meaningful work that has a significant impact on people's lives. The Central Sterile Technician plays a crucial role in our life-saving mission by ensuring the absolute sterility and safety of equipment and facilities used for human tissue processing. We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented individual to join our team and uphold the highest standards of quality and care, in full accordance with FDA regulations and AATB Standards.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will apply your skills and precision to:
- Perform multi-step decontamination, cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of all processing equipment, supplies, and facility areas.
- Meticulously prepare, wrap, and assemble sterile equipment and supply kits for our tissue processing team.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with precision to handle, prepare, and package human tissue for transplantation, utilizing various aseptic techniques and equipment.
- Operate, monitor, and document the efficacy of critical sterilization equipment, including autoclaves.
- Manage and maintain inventory of sterile supplies, chemicals, and reagents needed for daily processing activities.
- Ensure regulatory compliance by accurately and thoroughly documenting all activities in detailed manufacturing records (cGDP).
- Provide essential support to processing technicians, ensuring they have the necessary sterile supplies and equipment to perform their work efficiently.
Qualifications and Skills
We are looking for a candidate who demonstrates:
- A Meticulous Eye for Detail: A strong ability to follow specific instructions with repetition and accuracy, which is essential for our safety and quality standards.
- Experience in Regulated Environments: Direct experience with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and maintaining detailed records is highly valued.
- Technical Aptitude: The ability to measure and calculate mixtures and ratios. Experience with inventory management systems is a plus.
- Professionalism and Communication: A positive, collaborative attitude and clear communication skills to work effectively within a dedicated team.
- Physical Capability: The role requires manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to stand for extended periods while performing hands-on tasks.
- Certification (Preferred): CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) certification is highly preferred.
