Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and overhaul mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components.
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to uphold safety standards.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to execute repairs efficiently and safely.
- Work with automotive electrical systems and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) to troubleshoot complex electronic components.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to guide repairs on diesel engines, heavy equipment mechanics, and GM vehicles.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with a strong background in dealership or independent shop environments.
- Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems repair including transmissions, powertrain, suspension systems, brakes, and diesel engine repair.
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics software and schematics for accurate troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with vehicle maintenance procedures such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignment, shocks & struts replacement.
- Ability to work efficiently using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical devices.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid certification or licensing in automotive repair; ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification is preferred but NOT required.
- Dealership experience or familiarity with heave vehicles is a plus but not required.
