Lead Teacher (3K & 4K) – SDY/EDY Programs
Location: Bronx, NY
Habitot Es LLC is seeking enthusiastic, dedicated, and qualified Lead Teachers to join our 3K and 4K programs. Positions are available in both our School Day Year (SDY – 180-day) and Extended Day Year (EDY – 225/261-day) programs.
We are looking for educators who are passionate about early childhood education, committed to providing high-quality instruction, and knowledgeable about New York City DOE and DOH requirements.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with the Creative Curriculum.
- Utilize Teaching Strategies GOLD (TSG) to assess children's progress and plan individualized instruction.
- Maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.
- Ensure compliance with all New York City Department of Education (DOE) and Department of Health (DOH) regulations and standards.
- Complete lesson plans, observations, assessments, and required documentation in a timely manner.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Participate in professional development and staff meetings.
- Collaborate with administrators and teaching assistants to promote student success.
Qualifications
3K Lead Teacher
Applicants must:
- Have completed at least 90 college credits.
- Be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program (Study Plan Eligible).
- Meet all applicable DOE and DOH requirements for a 3K Lead Teacher.
4K Lead Teacher
Applicants must:
- Hold a Bachelor's Degree.
- Be currently enrolled in a Master's degree program (Study Plan Eligible).
- Meet all applicable DOE and DOH requirements for a 4K Lead Teacher.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching in a 3K or Pre-K classroom.
- Knowledge of Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies GOLD (TSG).
- Familiarity with DOE Birth-to-Five policies, Article 47 regulations, and other early childhood compliance requirements.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with families and school staff.

Pay: $54,000.00 - $69,000.00 per year
