Duties
- Greet guests warmly as they arrive and promptly seat them, providing excellent guest relations from the moment they walk in
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Clear tables, bussing dishes promptly to maintain cleanliness and readiness for new guests
- Assist with food handling, basic food preparation, and sanitation protocols to ensure food safety compliance
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including cashiering and processing payments using POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms
Requirements
- Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred, especially in fine dining or hospitality settings
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking seamlessly
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with upselling techniques and guest engagement strategies to maximize sales opportunities
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and transaction processing
