- Position - HVAC/R Service Technician with emphasis on commercial refrigeration
- BT Services is searching for an experienced, energetic and self-motivated HVAC/R Service Technician to join our team. As a service technician, you will be responsible for providing repair work on refrigeration, heating and ventilation equipment (such/as but no limited to) compressors, electrical motors, water pumps, air handlers, some ice machine equipment, and mechanical/ electrical controls in a safe, efficient, and timely manner. Our goal is to drive success that improves customer satisfaction and increase profitability.
- Technician Duties and Responsibilities - Picking up, delivering and installing equipment as needed. * Perform all on-site tasks related to installation, repair, management and maintenance. * Participate in the on-call rotation for after-hours calls with on call bonus. When on call, you will be required to respond to and document all service calls in a timely manner. * Troubleshoot, test and repair equipment for customers. * Place materials and parts orders through vendors and company purchasing agent. * Complete and retain all documentation required by both BT Services and various customers. * Complete all documentation in a manner that is adequate for invoicing. This includes accurate description of the work completed, a record of time on the job, and a list of any parts or equipment used to complete the service call. * Adhere to company’s given rules and regulations. * Build relationships and trust with customers and clients. * Participate in planned service and safety meetings unless excused by management directly. * Participate in recommended training sessions to ensure development in knowledge and ability.
- Requirements and Qualifications - 2+ years of experience in HVAC/R industry. * Proven field service experience. * Provide and maintain tools necessary to resolve all customer service needs. * Critical thinker with problem solving skills related to diagnosing equipment in a reasonable and timely manner. * Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service equipment for customers. * Team player who acts with integrity. * Good time-management skills. * Great interpersonal and communication skills. * Ability to lift and maneuver 50+ pounds. * Ability to climb a 20+ foot ladder. * Maintain a valid EPA certification and TDLR card. * Operate a company vehicle in a safe and efficient manner while remaining in compliance with all applicable laws as dictated by the State of Texas * Perform other related duties and projects as assigned by management.
- Minimum Qualifications - High School education or GED * Valid Driver License * Clean driving record * Must be able to pass drug test

Pay: $25.00 - $55.00 per hour
