American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with ECMO experience for a rotating days/nights position in a high-volume pediatric and adult ECMO program at a leading academic children's hospital.

Large-volume pediatric and adult ECMO program at an academic children's hospital
-
Primary focus on pediatric ECMO patients who are stable on ECMO
-
Patient population includes congenital heart disease, congenital diaphragmatic hernias, and respiratory failure
-
Pediatric patient ratios are 1:1, occasionally 1:2 per circuit; adult ratios are 1:3 with remote monitoring and rounding care model

Rotating day and night shifts (3x12-hour shifts): days 7:00–19:00, nights 19:00–7:00

2 weekends required per 4-week departmental scheduling period

No call or floating required

Epic EMR — experience required
-
Current RRT certification required

BLS certification required
-
Minimum 1 year of experience required

ECMO experience required

Prior experience at an urban or academic medical center required

2 professional references from a manager or supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration (charge RNs are not acceptable)

Flu shot required — no exemptions allowed

License required if applicable

First-time travelers are accepted provided they have prior ECMO specialist experience at an urban or academic medical center

Candidates who have been employed by this facility within the last 12 months are not eligible to apply
