Ambient Recruiting is partnering with a manufacturing company in Vanderbilt to hire dependable Production Operators. In this role, you'll set up, adjust, and operate production machinery while ensuring products meet quality and safety standards throughout the manufacturing process.

What You'll Be Doing
As a Production Operator, you'll:
- Set up and align tooling in production machines according to specifications
- Position work pieces against fixtures or machine stops
- Start and monitor machines to identify malfunctions or misalignment
- Adjust machine settings, including air and oil pressure, as needed
- Inspect finished parts and materials for quality and accuracy
- Make machine adjustments to correct production errors
- Clean, lubricate, and maintain machinery and work areas
- Follow production schedules and workplace safety procedures
- Use hand tools and inspection equipment as needed
- Support team productivity and quality goals
What We're Looking For
Successful candidates typically have:
- High school diploma or GED
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Basic math and computer skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Willingness to learn and develop new manufacturing skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience
- Ability to read blueprints
- Experience using inspection tools such as calipers or micrometers
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced production environment

What to Expect
This position requires standing for extended periods and working around moving machinery in a manufacturing environment. You'll perform repetitive tasks, use hand tools and inspection equipment, and lift or move materials as needed throughout your shift.
The work environment can be loud, and required safety equipment includes safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toe boots.
The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-minded, detail-oriented, and willing to learn how to operate and maintain production equipment. Success in this role comes from following instructions, maintaining quality standards, and working effectively as part of a team.
