Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned Business Development Associate with a proven track record in retail sales. This is a commission-only sales position focused on new business acquisition and measurable revenue growth. You will identify opportunities, build partnerships, and drive results immediately. Strong performers can earn substantial income based on sales success. Candidates without demonstrated retail sales results will not be considered. Job is not remote. This is an office job and you would be required to be in office Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new retail business opportunities through market research, networking, and outreach
- Develop strategies to expand client base and market share
- Drive revenue growth with trackable metrics
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Lead negotiations to secure profitable agreements
- Manage sales pipelines using CRM (Salesforce or similar)
Requirements
- Proven experience and demonstrated results in retail sales/business development
- Strong track record of acquiring new business and hitting revenue targets
- Proficiency in CRM software
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and closing skills
Skills
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or related roles with a focus on growth strategies preferably in retail.
- Ability to analyze opportunities and develop actionable sales plans
- Proven experience in sales with a focus on closing and growth strategies in retail
- Strong proficiency in CRM software like Salesforce or similar platforms for managing customer data and sales activities
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to build lasting relationships
- Strategic planning abilities to identify opportunities and develop actionable plans
- Knowledge of project management principles to oversee initiatives from conception to completion
- Familiarity with marketing concepts to support lead generation efforts
- Ability to analyze market trends and adapt strategies accordingly
