Schedule Details:
- Monday – Thursday: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Friday: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- Occasional Saturdays as needed
- Typically 48 hours per week
About the Role:
We're looking for an experienced Brake Press Operator to join our sheet metal fabrication team. This is a true soup-to-nuts position — you'll own the process from operation to setup to programming. We have a long-tenured operator retiring later this year, and we're hiring now to allow for training and overlap before he leaves.
Responsibilities:
- Operate brake press equipment to fabricate sheet metal parts to spec
- Perform machine setup and changeovers
- Program the brake press CNC controls for various jobs
- Read and interpret blueprints/specs to ensure accurate bends and tolerances
- Inspect finished parts for quality and conformance to specifications
- Maintain a safe, organized work area
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience operating, setting up, and programming a CNC brake press
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools
- Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
- Reliable and able to work full 48-hour weeks including occasional Saturdays
Nice to Have:
- Interest in cross-training on our laser equipment (not required, but a plus for the right candidate)
