Small, yet diversified injection molding company is seeking to fill a Quality Control Technician position.
This is a first shift position M-Thursday 5 a.m.-3 p.m. with Fridays OFF!
- Works with members of the quality team to help ensure processes and procedures are ISO 9001:2015 compliant and compliant with any other standards that may apply to perform injection molding part inspection
- Responsible for verifying first piece and end of run part samples from the injection molding presses
- Conduct gaging and physical measurements utilizing, calipers, micrometers, Micro-Vu, optical comparator and other measuring techniques
- Identify dimensional and visual defects using a quality standard checklist
- Record results
- Approve and reject parts based on test results and standards
- Coordinate with plant manager and quality manager in effort to resolve root cause for part rejects
- Complete and maintain records
- Inspect finished parts and conduct dock audits as specified in procedures
- Incoming part inspection
- Develop and execute Layouts & PPAPS
- Work with Quality Manager to address customer complaints
- Assist in maintaining company safety policies and procedures
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities as needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong math skills
- Strong leadership abilities and good communication skills
- Understanding basic blueprint reading principles, understanding quality principles and practices.
- Experienced in MS Office Products, Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint
- Previous experience in quality
- Knowledge of ISO and other related quality system standards
- 20/20 Vision Corrected
