Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and public areas using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment
- Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and proper handling procedures
- Vacuum carpets, mop floors, dust surfaces, change linens, and replenish amenities to ensure guest comfort and hygiene standards are met
- Maintain sanitation standards by properly disposing of waste and following industrial cleaning protocols
- Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and steam cleaners efficiently and safely
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to moving furniture or supplies while following manual handling safety procedures
- Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns related to housekeeping services, ensuring a positive customer service experience
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial services is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of floor care techniques, chemical agent handling, and industrial cleaning methods is advantageous
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols is a plus
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic understanding of sanitation standards and cleaning equipment operation
