Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of mechanical and electrical HVAC systems across commercial and residential properties. Responsibilities
- Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems, and ventilation equipment in accordance with schematics and design specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC/R systems to ensure peak performance and energy efficiency.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and plumbing issues using tools such as ohmmeters and specialized diagnostic equipment.
- Repair or replace faulty components such as compressors, motors, thermostats, electrical wiring, and mechanical parts.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and building automation system diagrams to facilitate accurate repairs and installations.
- Conduct system testing to verify proper operation after repairs or installations; adjust controls as needed for optimal performance.
- Maintain detailed service records including work performed, parts used, diagnostics conducted, and recommendations for future maintenance or upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with EPA regulations for refrigerant handling and safety standards during all service activities.
- Collaborate with property managers or clients to assess HVAC needs; recommend appropriate solutions based on building requirements.
- Utilize hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, welding equipment, and specialized diagnostic tools to complete repairs efficiently.
- Support field service operations by providing timely response to service calls; maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction or property maintenance with a focus on HVAC system repair and installation.
- Service technician experience working with HVAC/R systems in commercial or residential settings.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of HVAC components including refrigeration systems like ammonia refrigeration when applicable.
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, electrical diagrams, and building automation system layouts accurately.
- Familiarity with HVAC design principles and the integration of electrical systems within mechanical setups.
- Hands-on experience with plumbing systems related to HVAC installations or repairs.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, ohmmeters, welding equipment, and other diagnostic tools.
- Knowledge of electrical diagnostics including troubleshooting wiring issues within HVAC controls or electrical panels.
- Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications in HVAC/R preferred.
- Mechanical skills related to equipment troubleshooting, repair procedures, welding techniques, boiler operation, and appliance repair.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members.
- Valid driver’s license suitable for operating company vehicles; familiarity with <PERSON> driver requirements is a plus.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments; willingness to support ongoing maintenance projects.

Pay: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour
