Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate Lead Barista to join our energetic team and help us brighten the day of every guest who walks through our doors. We are looking for someone who can work opening shift (6:30 AM-12:30 PM) on weekdays and weekends.
Key Responsibilities
As the Lead Barista, you will:
- Lead by Example: Inspire and motivate your team to deliver exceptional service and quality.
- Customer Engagement: Foster a friendly atmosphere by engaging with customers, understanding their needs, and creating a welcoming environment.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with your team to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.
- Coffee Expertise: Prepare high-quality coffee beverages and share your knowledge with both customers and team members. **prior experience as a barista isn't necessarily required, be willing to learn and be trainable!
- Training & Development: be a sponge, learn from others; Mentor new baristas, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills.
- Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory and ensuring that the café is well-stocked and organized.
- Cleaning and organizing: keeping the coffee bar clean and organized consistently

Qualifications
- Previous experience as a barista or in a customer service role is preferred but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- A love for coffee and a willingness to learn about different brewing techniques and coffee varieties.
- A love for people, helping others, and giving back
- Hard work ethic, won't give up when things get chaotic!
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to café standards.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately for transactions and manage cash register duties.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and dining areas.
- Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and ensuring satisfaction.
- Handle food safely in accordance with health regulations and best practices.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- Monitor inventory levels of coffee supplies and food items, assisting with restocking as needed.
- Engage with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere in the café.
