Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting clients over the phone, via email, and in person with their automotive parts needs.
- Utilize automotive diagnostics knowledge to recommend suitable parts and solutions tailored to each vehicle’s requirements.
- Manage inventory control and stock levels using inventory management systems and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools to ensure product availability.
- Process sales transactions accurately through POS (Point of Sale) systems, handle cash and card payments, and maintain cash handling procedures.
- Negotiate prices and terms with customers to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining positive relationships.
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely order fulfillment and optimal stock levels.
- Maintain organized records of sales, customer interactions, and inventory using Microsoft Excel and other organizational tools.
- Support marketing efforts by promoting special offers, new products, or seasonal promotions to increase retail sales.
- Assist in vehicle maintenance advice and automotive service explanations to help customers make informed decisions.
- Uphold excellent phone etiquette, communication skills, and professionalism during all customer interactions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail sales or dealership environments within the automotive industry is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, repair procedures, and automotive service standards.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to close sales effectively while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Multilingual abilities or bilingual skills are a plus for serving diverse customer bases.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems, POS technology, CMMS software, and retail math principles.
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in order fulfillment and stock control processes.
- Effective communication skills—both verbal and written—to clearly convey technical information to customers.
- Experience with dealership operations or automotive repair shops enhances your fit for this role.
