About Bowline
Bowline Coffee Co. is a new specialty coffee bar in a Denver corporate office setting, built on genuine hospitality and great coffee. Our name comes from the bowline knot, the one that holds fast, and that's who we want to be for the people in our building: warm, dependable, the best part of their morning.
The role
We're looking for a barista who cares as much about people as about coffee. You'll make excellent espresso, tea, and smoothies, keep the bar clean and running smoothly, and make every guest, most of them familiar faces from the building, feel genuinely welcome. Best part: because we're a weekday lobby cafe, your nights and weekends are yours.
What you'll do
Make espresso, milk, tea, and smoothies to our recipes
Serve breakfast and lunch snacks
Greet warmly, learn regulars' names and orders, and give great service
Handle the morning rush with speed and a smile
Cashier, inventory management, and keep the bar and café spotless
Open and close the cafe, and be a great teammate
What we're looking for
Warmth and genuine care for people
Reliability and punctuality, you show up, on time, ready
Humility, and a willingness to learn and to keep things clean
Calm under pressure
Coffee experience is a plus but not required, we'll train the craft. We hire for character.
Nice to have (not required)
Cafe, espresso, or hospitality experience; latte art
A Colorado Food Handler card (or willingness to get one)
Familiarity with Toast
Pay & schedule
$20.00/hour plus tips
Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–2:30 PM — day shift, no nights, no weekends
