Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as an Electrical Helper. The Electrical Helper will assist electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment. The ideal candidate should have a strong work ethic, good mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn and grow within the electrical trade.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
2. Carry tools and materials to and from the work area and ensure that they are properly organized and maintained.
3. Assist in the installation of electrical wiring, conduits, and other electrical components.
4. Help to measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit using measuring instruments and hand tools.
5. Perform basic tasks such as drilling holes, digging trenches, and lifting heavy equipment or materials as needed.
6. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to company and OSHA safety regulations.
7. Learn and follow electrical code requirements and best practices under the guidance of experienced electricians.
8. Assist in troubleshooting electrical systems and making basic repairs as directed by the electrician.
9. Provide support to the electrician in testing electrical systems and components to ensure proper functioning.
10. Complete all tasks with a focus on quality workmanship and attention to detail.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Previous experience in a construction or electrical environment is preferred but not required.
3. Basic knowledge of hand and power tools used in the electrical trade.
4. Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
5. Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
6. Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced electricians.
7. Physical strength and stamina to perform tasks that require bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
8. Commitment to safety and the ability to adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
