Good News Home Inc. is a nonprofit residential treatment center dedicated to helping women overcome substance abuse and co-occurring mental health challenges. We provide a safe, structured, and compassionate environment for up to 12 women, offering both short-term stabilization and long-term recovery support. Our holistic approach nurtures mind, body, and spirit, welcoming clients regardless of race, religion, or ability to pay.
We are seeking a Behavioral Health Monitor who is dependable, empathetic, and committed to supporting women on their recovery journey. This role is essential to maintaining a therapeutic living environment and ensuring continuity of care for our residents.
Job Description
As a Behavioral Health Monitor, you will be a steady, supportive presence for residents throughout your shift, helping maintain structure, safety, and engagement. Responsibilities include:

Conduct house checks every two hours to ensure clients are participating in program activities or productive occupation

Provide safe, reliable transportation to meetings, church services, and other required activities

Maintain accurate daily logs and email shift reports to clinical staff

Report client concerns promptly and complete incident reports as needed

Administer scheduled drug tests following facility protocols

Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and team communication

Deliver verbal shift handovers to incoming staff to ensure seamless continuity of care

Support new admissions by completing intake checklists and providing orientation

Uphold house rules and reinforce a structured, therapeutic environment
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Experience (2+ years preferred) in substance use treatment, mental health, or related human services

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to set healthy boundaries

Comfortable working independently and using sound judgment

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and basic internet navigation

Experience driving a 12–15 passenger van is a plus, but not required
