Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented 2nd Shift Molding Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining plastics molding equipment, including blow molding, injection molding, and extrusion machines. Your expertise will ensure the production of high-quality plastic components while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards. Responsibilities
- Operate various plastics molding machines such as blow molding, injection molding, and extrusion equipment to produce high-quality parts.
- Set up, adjust, and troubleshoot machinery including press brake machines, CNC lathes, CNC machines, and robotic systems to optimize production efficiency.
- Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments and dimensional measurement techniques to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on industrial equipment while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Handle materials safely using forklifts and other materials handling tools; assist with fabrication and assembly processes as needed.
- Troubleshoot engineering issues related to machine operation or material flow; document problems and coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs.
- Maintain accurate production records, logs, and reports related to machine performance, quality control, and safety compliance.
Skills
- Proficiency in operating plastics blow molding, injection molding, extrusion machinery, and robotic systems.
- Skilled in using hand tools, measurement (quality control), and precision measuring instruments for dimensional inspections.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to manufacturing environments; committed to maintaining a safe workspace.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations necessary for completing production count and paperwork
