SUMMARY
A Vendor Relations Specialist manages the relationship between a company and its suppliers. They are responsible for negotiating contracts, sourcing new vendors, monitoring performance against service level agreements (SLAs), and resolving billing or supply issues to ensure cost-efficiency and operational success.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Vendor Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for suppliers, handling onboarding, training, and routine communication.
Contract Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, terms and service agreements to secure the best value and quality for the company.
Performance Mentoring: Track supplier performance metrics (e.g., delivery timelines, product quality) and execute regular evaluations.
Issue Resolution: Act as a liaison between external vendors and internal departments (like Finance of Operations) to resolve disputes, delivery delays, or billing discrepancies.
Compliance & Financials: Ensure vendors meet company compliance standards and collaborate with the accounting team to process invoices and reconcile payments.
Market Analysis: Prepare reports on vendor spending trends and market analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities.

EDUCATION
A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
Experience
Typically, 1 to 3+ years of experience in procurement, vendor management, or customer/client support.
Pay: $21.63 - $26.44 per hour
