Overview
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer with 5 years + experience to join our energetic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for design, with the ability to transform spaces into functional and aesthetically pleasing environments. This role involves collaborating with clients to understand their needs, developing design concepts, and overseeing the implementation of projects from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to determine their design preferences, needs, and budget constraints.
- Develop detailed design plans, including layout, color schemes, materials, and furnishings.
- Utilize software such as VectorWorks, AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite to create visual representations of design concepts.
- Conduct site visits to assess spaces and ensure designs are executed accurately.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to source materials and furnishings.
- Manage project timelines and budgets effectively to ensure successful completion of projects.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to provide innovative solutions.
- Prepare presentations for clients that clearly communicate design ideas and concepts.
Skills
- Proficiency in CAD is essential for creating detailed designs.
- Experience in lighting design and CAD applications is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in budgeting and contract management to oversee project costs effectively.
- Ability to renovate spaces while maintaining functionality and style.
- Excellent sales skills to effectively present ideas on design choices.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for client interactions and presentations.
- A keen eye for detail with a strong sense of aesthetics.
