Jackson | Main Architecture (JMA) is seeking a motivated architectural Project Manager who approaches projects in a proactive, enthusiastic manner. The ideal candidate should have a strong desire to lead, mentor and grow the design team in our Industrial, Logistics, and Life Sciences markets.
Job Summary: The architectural Project Manager will be responsible for managing entitlement, design, production, and the delivery of multiple projects by making initial client contact, performing feasibility studies, developing proposals, developing project team, and negotiating consultant contracts, managing project teamwork flow, quality control and overall adherence to JMA production guidelines.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Monitors project status and billing reports for adherence to budget objectives
- Coordinates construction administration.
- Manage project phases, budgets, and teams for multiple new construction projects.
- Collaborate with Principals to lead and manage project teams.
- Maintain quality and accuracy of project documents.
- Communicate effectively with clients and design teams.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior design staff.
- Build and maintain JMA’s long-standing client relationships through consistent, high-quality project delivery.
- Work with the Interior Design team on client marketing plans and project scope.
- Select and manage outside consultant teams, make recommendations to clients, and oversee consultant coordination throughout the project.
- Performs additional duties which may include items in previous architect/designer descriptions.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position supervises up to four to twenty (4 - 20) employees across various teams. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; monitoring performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or approximate equal
- Licensed architect (preferred) or equivalent with a minimum fifteen (15) years professional experience, or individual with commensurate work experience.
- Strong commitment to client satisfaction.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft applications (Excel, Outlook, and Word),
- Proficient knowledge of design software (Adobe applications, AutoCAD, Enscape, Revit, SketchUp), and internet software.
- Comprehensive knowledge of building systems, codes, and ADA requirements.
- Strong organizational, project management, and team management skills.
- Must have a high level of creativity, curiosity, and a passion for mentoring team members.
- Occasional travel required.

Our Seattle office is a beautifully renovated historic building in Pioneer Square. Note that our office has an unavoidable staircase - all applicants must be able to manage two flights of stairs.
